More Holistic Than You Could Possibly Expect

Holistic HealthI’ve been trying extremely hard to keep this plan private for about a month, until now. Darren from Problogger has once again challenged us on a group writing project and this time is about Review and Predictions.

I do have plans to tell you about it after the textbooks arrived sometimes in March 2007. I could start my long distance study anytime now if only I had paid my tuition fee, and I haven’t. =| Actually, I won’t be back home until early Feb, so while I’m enjoying my Christmas/Year-End holidays the last thing I want to do is study.

So What Is This Secret Plan About?

I can’t tell you in intricate details as I’m still working on the overall structure. All I can say is that I’m taking this blog to a whole new level. It’s not just about using holistic approach strictly on dogs, instead it will be on a partnership approach.

I’ll be starting a new blog on holistic health and fitness sometime mid next year. Over there, I will share what I know (as a former school athlete and triathlete), what I learn (as a student of holistic health), what are my experiences (as a person with hyperthyroid (was) and hypothyroid), and my keen interest in alternative therapy.

How Would That Benefit You As A Reader Here?

Everything! As more and more dog owners take on the role of surrogate parents to our four legged children, we are always wanting to improve our dog’s health in order to enjoy their companionship for a longer period. And along the way, we somehow neglected our own health or vice verse.

In this modern society, most of us lead a very busy lifestyle and have to juggle multiple roles and tasks to stay healthy for ourselves and our dogs. What frustrates me the most is striking a balance (conventional and alternative medicine) and be able to simplify our lifestyle (in terms of health, time, and resources) without sacrificing one or the other.

I’ve done a little research lately, and I have yet to come across (as far as I know) any site/blog with a coherent methodology on health for humans and dogs. Noted, as dog’s anatomy is quite different from ours so it’s not possible to lump them as one and treat them (medically or therapeutically) as equal (almost).

This got me thinking really hard, hence I decided to pursue studying holistic health more intensively. While I don’t think I can dispense any medical advice during my studies, but at the very least you can journey and share with me during the course.

Thanks for being a wonderful reader here and hope to have your continuous support over there.

So wish me luck!=P
