Speaking of weird, my mom named all her dogs after her once most cherished Pomeranian Mimi regardless of breed, size, and sex. She claimed that the name makes training easier! Geez, making whose training easier? Guess who came to brainwash her and retrained those poor dogs? Mom was definitely one of the kind, nonetheless I still love her!

Very complete advice. I know a woman who replaces her black Poodles with the exact same breed/color and names them the same name. It seems weird to me, but it seems to make her happy.
