Using Natural Treatments to Aid Dogs with Kidney Disease

Natural Home Remedies for DogsAs many dog owners would agree with me that we love our dogs to “death,” not literary I mean. Dogs are often referred to as best friends that humans can ever have. But the friendship can be cut short with any diseases such as kidney disease.

Not many people are aware that their dog could be infected with kidney disease. What’s more surprising is that many people thought only humans could be affected with kidney disease. Unfortunately, it isn’t the case here.

How do dogs get infected with kidney disease?

Your dog could get infected with any type of diseases due to many reasons. Some of the reasons that have made your dog infected can include certain chemicals used for its food production, plastics and the air they breathe. All these are referred to as toxins which find their ways into your dog’s body and will lead to kidney disease.

This is a life threatening disease for both humans and dogs. So, it is wise to use natural treatments to aid dogs with kidney disease.

The natural inclination of many dog owners is to take their infected dog to the veterinarian for treatment. And many people like you can hardly afford the exorbitant fees being charged by all those veterinary doctors.

One of the best solutions to treating your dog with kidney disease is natural treatment. Unfortunately many people are not even aware of this alternative solution.

Easy steps to natural treatments for dogs with kidney disease.

Toxic. The most important thing you must do to fight the kidney disease in your dog is to stop all those toxins you are giving your dog. Toxic ingredients are dangerous for your dog’s well being. In order to get rid of the toxic, you could introduce some of the detox program recipes I have post here.

Organic. What your dog need is an organic whole food diet. 90 per cent of all the commercial dog food, dry or canned will not suffice for your dog. They won’t help your dog recover quickly either.

Moreover, the dog organic whole foods can be prepared by you. It may be cumbersome at first but progressively it will be much easier after you get the recipes organized. By doing so, you are certain that the diet doesn’t contain any hidden toxic ingredients that might be present if it were prepared outside.

Water. Another thing that will help your dog recover quickly is pure drinking water. If you think that your tap water is clean, then you must have a rethink. By drinking unclean water, your dog’s kidney will have to work harder to filter all the poisons present in the water from getting into their blood stream. Just make sure that the water is clean and filtered before being given to your dog.

Food. Also, feed your dog with super foods. A super food is a combination of plant based vitamins and minerals from grasses, sea vegetables and seaweeds.

The right combination of super foods contains every possible nutrient, amino acid, and vitamin. These nutrients will help your dog’s body fight kidney disease and stay healthy.

Herbs. Herbs have been known to help dogs recover from kidney disease. The right kind of herbs will help strengthen your dog’s immune system and also clean the liver. The kidney and liver are the filtration systems present in your dog’s body.

If you want more in depth on how to prepare herbs for your dogs, get a copy of “Herbs for Pets“. I highly recommend it. Not only it’s very comprehensive but easy to understand even for those unfamiliar with herbs.

Exercise. Of the most commonly ignored and neglected by dog owners in treating their dogs with kidney disease is exercise. Though many see exercise as being needed only when you want to keep fit or lose weight, it is something that your dog could use to recover from the kidney disease plaguing him or her.

Massage. If you want to go the extra mile of speeding up the recovery is to incorporate therapeutic massage. There are a few books on therapeutic massage for dogs that I found to be extremely helpful. They aren’t strictly on curing kidney disease but overall wellbeing.

Traditional Chinese Medicine. I’m a firm believer in Traditional Chinese Medicine so naturally I’m more incline to use alternative treatment to improve my well being. After seeing the improvement I had, I began researching alternative treatments for my dogs. There wasn’t any book on acupuncture and Tuina (Orthopedics Traumatology) except a couple written in Chinese. This is a language that has never been my forte, so to paraphrase my formal Chinese teacher, “Your essay is so atrocious that I need a translator.” That’s because 50 per cent was written in English. And that I thought I was being respectful to her, I could either ignore the assignments or wrote them in English. Anyway…

Here are the three books I highly recommend on therapeutic massage for dogs

I started with Canine Massage: A Complete Reference Manual and then went on to reading The Healing Touch for Dogs: The Proven Massage Program for Dogs. Both books give very detailed instructions and clear illustrations. And if you just starting to learn about therapeutic massage, Dog Massage: Expert Know-How at Your Finger Tips is another great small handbook for beginners.

There is need to get your dog back his former healthy state by having him a go through natural treatments for dogs with kidney disease. You don’t need to spend all your life time savings on your dog in those expensive clinics or hospitals while trying to get solution to kidney diseases.
