The cheap ones only last a short while & often will not go thru the thicker coats. They are really human clippers not actual pet clippers. The good pet clippers have a heavy duty motor made to go the hair better & faster & more even cuz of the speed of the strokes from the blade. You will keep a good pair for a number of years with care & lucky to get 2,3 grooms from the cheap ones. The good ones can be repaired & maintained while the cheap ones cannot & must be trashed. Cost wise there is more value in the quality ones for your money.
