Carrot Rice
Do you want your dog to have a nice pair of sparkling eyes?
All puppies are born with the most charming watery eyes. And by any chance and good nutrition, those crooning eyes can stay til adulthood and even in their old age. So don’t deprive them for what they are born with.
Carrot Rice Serving: 6
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked brown rice*
- 2 cups grated carrots
- 1 cup cooked chunked chicken
- 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- ¼ cup low-salt chicken broth
- ¼ cup vegetable oil or sunflower seed oil (best)
- ¼ cup finely chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Methods:
- Preheat oven to 350˚F.
- Mix all ingredient.
- Spoon into lightly greased casserole dish.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
- Cool and serve
Special author’s note: What work best is have a combination of fine Thai grain rice with any brown rice of your choice. Not all dogs favor brown rice. Avoid Japanese rice as they are too gluey for canine consumption. Unless you’re making Sushi for your dog which happens to be Snowball’s favorite. Warning!
