Mini Turkey Omelet Roll

Dog Food RecipeEveryone loves eggs. Rich in protein and Biotin, one of the few foods that naturally contain vitamin D. Eggs are a wonderful way to supplement your dog’s meal especially during winter, where everyone (including our dogs) likes to feel warm and fortified.

What’s more I added turkey sausages into this recipe to make the crescent rolls pack with more protein. The aroma of freshly baked Turkey Omelet Roll will definitely get Fido roll out of his bed even when the weather is freezing cold. :)

Serving: 8 mini Turkey Omelet Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 8 mini turkey sausages
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent rolls

Methods:

  1. Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 rectangles on a greased cookie sheet.
  2. Cook eggs for 3 minutes in microwave-safe bowl, stirring each minute.
  3. When eggs are done, scoop small spoonfuls into the centre of each crescent rectangle.
  4. Top with a turkey sausage.
  5. Fold remaining crescent dough over eggs and sausage to make neat package, or bundle excess dough and flare edges to create small “sacks” of goodies.
  6. Bake according to crescent roll instructions and allow to cool thoroughly before serving.

Store extras in the refrigerator until your dog is ready to eat them—but don’t ask him, he’ll always be ready to eat them.

Special Notes: The crescent rolls in these snacks package the eggs and sausage in a small, easy-to-handle dog treat. These are so neat and tidy you can zip them in a baggie and take them to the dog park for a protein burst.
